Chocolate-Chip Hazelnut-Almond Chocolate Brownies
Read that name again! Is it a mouthful? Yes? Haha, that’s what made it so good!
I really like this recipe because there’s no milk/cream/dairy required so I didn’t have to find any substitutes.
Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat flour (OR 1 cup gluten-free flour mix + 2 Tbsp flax flour) 
- 3/4 tsp baking powder 
- 1/4 tsp salt 
- 1/2 cup cacao powder 
- 3/4 cup almond powder 
- 1 cup coconut sugar (or sweetener of choice) 
- 1/2 cup melted coconut oil 
- 1 tsp vanilla extract 
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips (I cut up leftover bits of dark chocolate) 
- 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts 
- 3/4 cup room temp. water 
Method
- Sift together wheat flour (or GF flour + flax flour), baking powder, salt and cacao powder. 
- Add almond powder and coconut sugar. Mix well. 
- Add coconut oil, vanilla extract, chocolate chips, hazelnuts and water. 
- Mix gently till just combined. 
- Pour into a lined baking dish. 
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.
